Steve Fisher, a vice-president at the Agency for the Performing Arts in L.A., is our main dramatic rights co-agent. We also work with Lucy Stille in New York. Both of them are savvy and selective, because they know what can sell.
Steve Fisher
Steve began his career in television journalism in New York City. He was the Head of the Research Department at World News Tonight with Peter Jennings for several years. Among the stories he worked on were the adult illiteracy series, GM brake failure expose, and the FAA near miss mid-air collision pieces. After moving to Los Angeles, Steve worked at ICM, Innovative Artists, and H.N. Swanson before that firm was acquired by The Renaissance Agency. He represents fiction and non fiction authors, journalists, and life rights holders in the film and TV arena. His client list includes novelists Lee Child, Tana French, John Connolly, Linda Lael Miller, Sara Lotz, Jim Rollins, C.J. Box, Janet Evanovich, R.F. Kuang, Neal Shusterman; journalists Tim Egan and Fox Butterfield, graphic novelists Emil Ferris and Alison Bechdel; and estates Arthur C. Clarke, Richard Wright, Peter Matthiessen, Robert Stone, and Truman Capote.
Steve is a Partner and Head of the Media Rights department at Independent Artists Group, a full service agency with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, and Atlanta.
Lucy Stille
Lucy Stille began her career at Playwrights Horizons in New York, and went on to work as a publishing agent at Sanford J. Greenburger Associates. She moved to Los Angeles in 1985 and ran the boutique agency Schorr, Stille before helping to create the Paradigm agency in 1993. During her twenty years at Paradigm, she helped it grow from a boutique agency into the fifth largest agency in Hollywood. In 2013, she moved to APA, working out of their New York office in an effort to increase the scope of their media rights department. In April 2020, she opened her own literary management company, Lucy Stille Literary, where her primary focus is working with authors and journalists for their book to film/television deals.
